Last Monday, The Yes Men activist Andy Bichlbaum headed to Wells College for a special event. He was the keynote speaker at their 15th Annual Activism Symposium.
The theme of this year's symposium was "HashtagActivism: Civic Engagement in the Age of Social Media". It was held in Stratton Hall beginning at 9 a.m.
There were several presentations and breakout sessions throughout the day. Bichlbaum closed out the day with his speech from 4:30-6 p.m.
Bichlbaum participates in culture-jamming activism. He impersonates high-profile corporate criminals to bring exposure to their crimes.
As a member of The Yes Men, Bichlbaum has made appearances to expose corruption in several different settings. Those satirical attacks have led to three documentaries, "The Yes Men", "The Yes Men Fix the World" and "The Yes Men Are Revolting.
Bichlbaum has also co-founded the Yes Lab and Action Switchboard. He is a professor at Parsons School of Design.
