Yale University is lining up a speaker way in advance for their fifth annual International Liturgy Conference. The event will take place June 18-21, 2018 and feature the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.
The overall theme of the event is, "Full of Your Glory: Liturgy, Cosmos, Creation." During the conference, the idea of creation and the cosmos will be explored.
They will also discuss some contemporary concerns juxtaposed against traditions of the past. Registration for this event will open in mid-2017.
From 2002-2012, Williams served as the Archbishop of Canterbury. During his tenure, he worked fervently to keep the Anglican Communion from fragmenting.
Currently, Williams serves as master of Magdalene College at the University of Cambridge. Prior to being named Archbishop, he was the Bishop of Monmouth and Archbishop of Wales.
Most of Williams life has been centered in academia. He speaks or reads ten different languages and has published several books related to various studies throughout his life.
