Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker remains a major face and voice in the Republican Party. The Hawaii Republican Party has announced Walker as the speaker at their 2016 Lincoln Day Dinner on February 16th.
The evening will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Ko'olau Ballrooms in Kaneohe on the island of Oahu. Individual guest tickets cost $150, while VIP reception packages cost $300 per person, and sponsorship opportunities range from $1,500 to $10,000.
Walker will share some of his successes during his tenure as governor. He will also provide a perspective on the national state of the Republican Party.
Most recently reelected in 2014, Walker has instituted bold reforms and touts the elimination of the state's budget deficit to be among his crowning achievements. He has also been a driver for job creation and tax reduction.
In 2012, Walker became the first American governor to survive a recall election. Prior to his 2010 inauguration, he was the Milwaukee County Executive and served in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Walker attended Marquette University, but left school during his senior year to work for the American Red Cross. Most recently, he was a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.
