Wilson College Names Journalist A’Lelia Bundles Commencement Speaker

The respect that A'Lelia Bundles built up during her journalism career gives her credibility in any room she walks into. That will certainly be the case when she addresses graduates at Wilson College in May.
On May 15th, Bundles will serve as speaker at the school's 146th commencement ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Wilson College is located in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Bundles will make the trek up from Washington D.C. to speak to the Class of 2016.
Bundles had an impressive 30-year tenure as an executive and producer in television news. She most recently was the director of talent development for ABC News and also had a run as the Washington deputy bureau chief.
For seven years, Bundles produced "ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings". She has received many honors for her journalism career, including a Du Pont Gold Baton, an Emmy, and a spot in the Black Memorabilia Hall of Fame.
Bundles is currently president and vice chair of the board of the National Archives Foundation as well as vice chair of the board of trustees at Columbia University. She is also at work on her fourth book to be written about her great-great-grandmother, African-American icon Madam C.J. Walker.
