Washington Post Columnist E.J. Dionne Speaks at Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center Thursday

With noted historian James Carroll speaking last week, the Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center Summer Institute Speaker Series was off and running. This Thursday, they welcome writer E.J. Dionne as the second speaker of the summer.
Each week, a speaker will present at the center from 7:30-9 p.m. Dionne's speech is titled, "American Conservatism and the Republican Party".
He will further address the unprecedented dynamics that have come to characterize this presidential election cycle. The series is currently slated to run through August 11th.
Dionne commentates on political issues for National Public Radio, ABC's "This Week" and NBC's "Meet The Press". He shares a biweekly column on politics for PostPatisan, a Washington Post blog.
In 1990, Dionne first joined the Post as a political reporter. He had previously been with The New York Times for 14 years.
Dionne has written six books and has been nominated for a National Book Award. He currently serves as a senior fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution and a professor of government at Georgetown University.
