VRLA Summer Expo Names Comedian Reggie Watts Keynote Speaker

Jul 19 2016

Comedian Reggie Watts is an avid proponent of virtual reality.  That makes him the perfect guest to keynote the VRLA Summer Expo that takes place next month.

The expo runs August 5-6 at the LA Convention Center.  It is a bi-annual convention that features some immersive VR experiences and the latest innovations in the technology.

Watts keynote will be on August 6th at 11 a.m. at the Unreal Engine Theater.  Tickets to attend the two-day expo run $30 and around 6,000 attendees are expected.

Watts is known for his improvisational appearances that combine vocal artistry, beatboxing, music and comedy.  He is probably best recognized as the band leader on "The Late Late Show with James Corden".

Watts' big breakthrough came on the IFC series, "Comedy Bang! Bang!".  He was on the show from its beginning in 2012 to leaving for The Late Late Show in 2015.

In 1996, Watts career began as the frontman for the group Maktub.  He has also released four solo albums.
