Today, Vanguard CEO F. William McNabb III will share some inspiring words with high school graduates right outside of Philadelphia.  He is the commencement speaker at The Haverford School.

The ceremony will take place at the school's Field House beginning at 2 p.m.  It is the 132nd commencement for The Haverford School.

There are 103 members of Haverford's Class of 2016.  The school is an all-boys institution that was founded in 1884 and serves students from junior kindergarten through 12th grade.

McNabb is a longtime Vanguard executive, having originally joined the company in 1986.  In 2008, he became CEO and two years later he took on the responsibilities of the board of directors and board of trustees chairman.

Outside of Vanguard, McNabb remains a force in the investment management industry.  He is currently the chairman of the Investment Company Institute.

McNabb holds a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and a master's in business administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is still active with both schools, sitting on the Wharton Leadership Advisory Board and the Dartmouth Athletic Advisory Board.
