Television Host Melissa Rivers Talks Father’s Depression at Reflections of Hope Luncheon

Next Thursday, noted TV host Melissa Rivers will be the keynote speaker at the Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services fourth annual Reflections of Hope Luncheon. The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. in Boca Raton, Florida at the Mizner Center.
It will address the difficult subject of mental illness and help raise awareness for how prevalent it is in society. Rivers will share a personal account of losing her father to suicide as a result of clinical depression in 1987.
Tickets to attend are $136. A special VIP pass that includes a pre-luncheon meet and greet with Rivers is $360.
Rivers is best known for teaming with her late mother on the E! "Red Carpet" shows. She is currently a co-host of the network's "Fashion Police" show.
In addition, Rivers has been an accomplished producer and actress. She has appeared on shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, Silk Stalkings and Cubed.
Rivers graduated with a bachelor's degree in European History from the University of Pennsylvania. Along with her pursuits in entertainment, she is active in many philanthropic causes and has raised money for her charities through appearances on reality shows like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire".
