SUNY Oswego Announces Diversity Expert Damon Williams as Winter Commencement Speaker

Graduates from SUNY Oswego this winter are going to hear from a top diversity speaker as they enter the real world. Damon Williams is slated to speak at the school's commencement on December 17th.
Over 500 undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Mariano Campus Center.
There will be a live stream of the event on SUNY Oswego's website. Those Times Warner Cable customers in Central New York will also have access to the broadcast via channel 96.
Williams has consulted with and spoken to over 300 organizations worldwide. He is currently the senior vice president of programs, training and youth development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Before taking his role with the BGCA, Williams worked for five years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He wore many hats and founded the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement.
Williams has authored and co-authored books on diversity. In 2013, he received the National Association of Diversity Officers in HIgher Education's Inclusive Excellence Award for Leadership.
