Social Justice Advocate Joy DeGruy Speaks at Edmonds Community College MLK Celebration Next Month

Edmonds Community College has one of the top social justice advocates scheduled to speak at their Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration. Joy DeGruy is scheduled to present on January 12th at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The event takes place on campus at the Black Box Theatre. The free tickets are able to be reserved in advance and online reservations are limited to four per person.
DeGruy is bound to provide some excellent perspective for the school's event. Those who attend will be enriched by what she speaks about.
DeGruy is the author of, "Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome: America's Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing." She is also in the works on a follow-up book and has published a study guide on the topic.
DeGruy has spoken at top univesities like Columbia University and Harvard University. She talks about critical issues in society and serves as a voice for those who struggle.
For over two decades, DeGruy has been a social work professional. She holds a bachelor's degree, two master's degrees and a PhD.
