Singer-Songwriter Crystal Bowersox Speaks at Friends for Life Conference

Singer-songwriter Crystal Bowersox is an inspiration for anyone with diabetes. Last week, she shared her story of with the Friends for Life Conference.
The conference was held on July 7th in Orlando, Florida. It is held to bring together many different invested parties in diabetes treatment to share the most current information about the disease.
The presentation was part of Bowersox's new role as an ambassador for Lilly Diabetes. She will also begin a tour of summer diabetes camps next week in her role.
Bowersox rose to prominence during season nine of "American Idol". She finished as runner-up on the show and gained a great fanbase after battling back from hospitalization due to complications from type 1 diabetes.
Since the show, Bowersox has released two albums. Her debut effort, "Farmer's Daughter" was released in 2010 and it peaked at #28 on the U.S. charts.
Prior to Idol, Bowersox performed in the local Chicago music scene and did some small tours. She is originally from Elliston, Ohio.
