Last week, Missouri State University students got to hear from one of the success stories from the ABC reality series, "Shark Tank." Scholly CEO Christopher Gray made an appearance on November 8th.
Gray spoke from 7-8 p.m. in the Robert W. Room Theater inside the Plaster Student Union. The event was sponsored by MSU's financial aid office.
Admission was free and the engagement was open to the public. Gray was able to share his inspiring story with those in attendance.
After coming from a low-income family, Gray earned $1.3 million in college scholarship money. He made his experience count, founding the scholarship search app, Scholly.
Gray took his creation to the shark investors on Shark Tank in 2015. He is also a partner in the student-run investment fund, Dorm Room Fund.
Gray is one of the most-recognized rising entrepreneurs in the country. He was the 2015 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and was named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list this year.
