RTS London Conference Names NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke Keynote Speaker

One of the leaders in the television business will address a conference dealing with the ever-changing world of distribution platforms.  The Royal Television Society in the U.K. announced last week that NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke will keynote their September event. 

Burke will talk about how the production landscape is affected by these emerging technologies at the RTS London Conference.  The event will be held on September 27th at Kings Place in London. 

Several other top leaders in the television sphere will be present.  Early bird pricing is available until the end of June. 

Since 2011, Burke has been the NBCUniversal CEO.  In his role, he oversees all of the company's entertainment, news and sports networks among several other properties. 

Burke was previously the COO of Comcast, where he led tremendous growth across a variety of products.  He originally joined the company in 1998 as the President of Comcast Cable.  

Burke also had a lengthy career at The Walt Disney Company, eventually rising to the role of ABC Broadcasting president.  Currently, he is on the board of directors for Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and J.P. Morgan Chase.
