Retired General Becky Halstead Keynotes National Philanthropy Day Event

This fall, the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals heard from one of America's most respected leaders. Retired United States Army Brigadier General Becky Halstead was the keynote speaker for their National Philanthropy Day event.
The proceedings were held at Anthony's Pier 9 from 7:30 a.m. to noon on November 29th. Individual tickets were $85 for the full day, $35 for Halstead's keynote breakfast and $65 to only attend the educational programs.
Halstead was able to provide valuable leadership lessons. The day also included an awards presentation and vendor displays.
Halstead holds the distinction of being the first female West Point graduate to become a general officer. She served as a logistics staff officer during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Halstead concluded her military career as the 34th Chief of Ordnance and Commandment of the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and Schools in 2008. She went on to serve as the president of the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps Association.
Halstead is the founder of the consultancy STEADFAST Leadership. She was inducted into the New Jersey Women's Hall of Fame in 2013.
