Renowned Economist Ben Stein Named Keynote Speaker at Assure Women’s Center Fundraiser

The versatile Ben Stein's next speaking engagement is just a couple weeks away.  Stein will head to Omaha, Nebraska to speak at a fundraiser for the Assure Women's Center on March 10th.

The fundraiser is being held at Embassy Suites and it begins with a 6:30 p.m. dinner.  It celebrates the 30th anniversary of the center that provides free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds in addition to counseling.  

Stein's talk is titled, "Life: The Bottom Line", and he will address the various impacts of abortion.  Individual tickets cost $40 while a table of ten is $350.  

Stein gained early professional success as a speechwriter for Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.  He still writes extensively about politics and economics to this day.

Following a turn as a Hollywood consultant, Stein entered the entertainment world.  He is well remembered for his role as an economics teacher in the hit film, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".  

He has appeared in dozens of other movies and television shows since.  From 1997-2003, Stein hosted the Comedy Central game show "Win Ben Stein's Money" and the show won five Daytime Emmys.
