New Orleans is certainly a breeding ground for great food. Two celebrity chefs are taking their talents there tomorrow for a discussion about culinary creativity.
Chefs Grant Achatz and Albert Adria are giving a keynote presentation at Tales of the Cocktail. The conference began today and runs through July 24th.
Hundreds of bartenders have flocked to the event to get briefed on the latest trends. Those who wish to attend tomorrow's talk can purchase tickets at registration inside the Hotel Monteleone.
Achatz's Chicago restaurant, Alinea, opened in 2005 and has won several awards. It has consistently been named to Restaurant magazine's list of the 50 best restaurants in the world.
Achatz is a six-time James Beard Foundation Award winner. He is considered a top leader in molecular gastronomy.
Adria worked at his brother's restaurant, elBulli in Spain, for 23 years. He took charge of pastries at the renowned spot in 1987 and became a master in the field.
