ProAct Safety CEO Terry Mathis Keynotes SLC Conference

The Safety Leadership Conference got a visit from an industry leader this fall. ProAct Safety CEO Terry Mathis served as keynote speaker at the event. 

It took place November 28-30 at The Hilton Atlanta. The conference was put together by EHSToday in collaboration with Fisher Philips. 

Mathis talked about how an ownership of safety will producer a more comprehensive approach. He said that many safety teams do not have a plan in place. 

Mathis is the founder and CEO of the international safety performance and excellence firm, ProAct Safety. He is a regular speaker at industry events and writer for industry publications. 

Mathis served as the co-author for "STEPS to Safety Culture Excellence." He has worked on over 1,600 projects worldwide. 

Some of the organizations Mathis has assisted include Georgia-Pacific, Wrigley and Merck. From 2010-13, he was named one of the "Top 50 People Who Most Influenced EHS."
