The MGM Resorts Foundation has secured one of the most high-profile political strategists to speak at their annual Women's Leadership Conference. Donna Brazile will speak at the tenth annual event that runs August 8th and 9th.
The conference is being held at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. All women are invited to attend the event that was established to stimulate personal growth and professional learning.
Proceeds from the event go towards various local non-profit charities that work with welfare and development of women and children. Registration for the event is $450.
Brazile gained notoriety as the campaign manager for Al Gore's presidential run in 2000. She was the first African-American to ever lead a major presidential campaign.
Today, Brazile is easily recognized from her various television appearances talking politics with CNN and ABC. She is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, founder and managing director of her own consulting firm and columnist at Ms. Magazine.
