Pizza Chain Mogul John Schnatter Keynotes Greater Louisville Inc. Annual Meeting Next Month

As perhaps the most high-profile business leader in the Louisville era, Papa John's founder John Schnatter is a perfect fit for his upcoming speaking engagement. He is keynoting the Greater Louisville Inc. annual meeting on January 25th. 

Schnatter will talk about views on innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. Nearly 1,200 leaders from the Louisville area will descend on Louisville Palace for the event. 

This is the 20th year of the GLI chamber of commerce. The meeting takes place from 5:30-9 p.m. and tickets are $120 for members and $135 for non-members. 

Schnatter founded Papa John's International, Inc. in 1984. The company started out in a broom closet in the back of his father's tavern and rose to become the third largest pizza delivery chain in the U.S. 

Schnatter serves as the current CEO and spokesman for Papa John's. He is a well-recognized personality for his appearances in marketing campaigns for the company over the years. 

In 1997, Schnatter was named the National Ernst & Young Retail/Consumer Entrepreneur of the Year. He is a member of the Junior Achievement U.S. Business Hall of Fame and Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame.
