The inspirational story of survival for Giles Duley has touched many.  Duley will get to share again as a keynote speaker at TEDxExeter on April 15th.

TEDxExeter is put on by the University of Exeter in England and it now in its fifth year. This event is being held at Exeter's Northcott Theatre and it has been sold out since December.

Additionally, an overflow crowd will be seated in the Alumni Auditorium.  Others can also tune into the public live stream to catch Duley's presentation.

Duley's life's work has put him compromising positions, shooting photographs in war-torn countries.  In 2011, he stepped on an IED in Afghanistan and lost both legs and one of his arms.

Duley almost lost his life and spent 45 days in intensive care.  Remarkably, he recovered and remains a photographer, working on a project for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Syria and throughout the Middle East.

Prior to his injury, Duley worked for many organizations chronicling humanitarian issues.  He originally started his photography career in the music industry before becoming disillusioned by the celebrity culture.
