Oscar-Winning Film Producer Jon Landau Speaks at the University of New Orleans Spring Commencement

Jon Landau is one of the most respected film producers of all-time. This spring, he will get to share his story of success with graduates at the University of New Orleans.
Landau is the commencement speaker for the May 13th ceremony. It will be held at Lakefront Arena beginning at 3 p.m.
In addition to speaking, Landau will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters. In the past, he has given presentations at several universities, including his alma mater, the University of Southern California.
Landau has been attached to some of the highest-grossing film projects in history, including box office record setters "Titanic" and "Avatar". He also got his break producing earlier films like "Campus Man" and "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids".
Landau has won two Golden Globes and an Academy Award. He is well known for his affiliation with director James Cameron on several films.
In the early 1990's, Landau was Executive Vice President of Feature Film Production at 20th Century Fox. Today, he actively mentors young filmmakers, hoping to inspire a new generation of groundbreaking talent.
