The Cannabis World Congress will be addressed next month by one of the trailblazers when it comes to fighting for the legalization of marijuana.  NORML Founder Keith Stroup will serve as one of the two headlining keynote speakers.

The event runs June 15-17 at the Javits Center in New York City.  Stroup will give his presentation titled, "Why We're Finally Winning After All These Years" on June 16th at 1:50 p.m.

Former Super Bowl champion Leonard Marshall will also give a keynote address at the conference.  There will be several panels, workshops, and sessions as well throughout the three days.

Stroup originally founded NORML In 1970 and served as executive director until 1979.  He joined the organization for the second time in 1994 as a member of the board of directors.

In 1995, Stroup was once again named executive director and spent another decade in that post fighting for the rights of marijuana smokers.  He still serves NORML today as a trusted advisor and legal counsel.

Stroup has a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and graduated from Georgetown Law School.  He began his career working in Washington for the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
