Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn is without question one of the most powerful individuals in the automobile industry. He brought his years of experience to the table last week as the keynote speaker at the New York International Automobile Show's Opening Press Breakfast.
The breakfast was held last Wednesday at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. Each year, the event attracts over 800 members of the media.
The show officially runs from March 25th-April 3rd. Tickets are $16 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under.
Ghosn oversees a company that employs over 240,000 people and saw revenue reaching nearly $104 billion in 2014. He originally joined Nissan as COO in 1999, became president in 2000, and finally CEO in 2001.
When the Nissan-Renault alliance was formed in 2005, Ghosn also became CEO of the partner company. The position with both made him the first individual to run two Fortune 500 Global organizations at the same time.
Ghosn is Renault's chairman of the board and the chairman of the board for Russia's largest automaker, AVTOVAZ, as well. He was president of the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association until the end of 2015.
