NCATS Director Christopher Austin Keynotes Conference at University of Utah December 1st

The Frontiers in Precision Medicine conference takes place Thursday and Friday at The University of Utah. They have booked one of the leaders at the National Institutes of Health.
The director of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, Christopher Austin, speaks on the first day of the event. His presentation takes place from 1:20-2:00 p.m. and is titled, "Catalyzing Translational Innovation."

At NCATS, Austin works to create innovations based off of what is learned in laboratories, clinics and the community. He originally joined NIH in 2002 as a senior advisor at the National Human Genome Research Institute.
It was at NHGRI where Austin founded and served as the NIH Chemical Genomics Center. He was the inaugural director of NCATS Division of Pre-Clinical Innovation.
Austin has a background working at the pharmaceutical company Merck. He holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School and an A.D. from Princeton University.
