Motivational Speaker Eric Thomas Gives Presentation to New Jersey High School

Motivational speaker Eric Thomas' recent trip to New Jersey was unique. He spoke at Mainland Regional High School as the result of the Make-A-Wish program. 

Sophomore Sean Carey beat cancer and used his wish to benefit his entire school. In addition to speaking to all the students, Thomas also had a special session for the football team the Carey kicks on. 

Thomas focused much of the larger talk in the gymnasium on personal accountability. He shared some stories from his own humble background being homeless in Detroit. 

Since Thomas struggled growing up, he has a special appreciation for giving back. He founded and award-nominated GED program and started the non-profit Break The Cyle, I Dare you. 

Thomas also helps high-risk college students at Michigan State through the Advantage program. His non-profit Urban Education Consultants is working to close the achievement gap every day. 

Thomas has written two books. Through his consulting firm, ETA LLC., he has worked with several Fortune 500 companies and professional sports teams.
