The Colorado High School Athletic Association will prepare for the next school year August 1-2 with their annual summit. Attendees from schools across the state will get some inspiration from a top leadership speaker who draws off an extensive sports background.
Longtime associate editor at Sports Illustrated, Don Yaeger, keynotes the event at the Denver Marriott South. He will specifically speak on "What is Your Why?".
Schools are still able to RSVP to attend the summit. Registration for hotel rooms closes July 8th.
Yaeger is an award-winning speaker who addressed a wide-range of audiences. Many of his talks draw on the stories of greatness he has learned by being around modern sports legends.
Yaeger is a nine-time New York Times bestselling author. His first book, "Undue Process: The NCAA's Injustice for All" was published in 1990 and since he has released over 20 other books.
After a lengthy reporting career, Yaeger joined Sports illustrated in 1996 and became an associate editor two years later. He remained in that role until his retirement from SI in 2008.
