On Friday, one of the country's most prestigious universities had a visit from one of their funniest people.  Late Night host Seth Meyers spoke at his alma mater, Northwestern University's commencement.

During his speech, Meyers jokingly sampled quotes from other 2016 commencement speeches.  He urged told the assembled crowd to make a difference and exercise their voting rights.

The 158th commencement ceremony was held at Ryan Field.  Just under 2,000 students received degrees.

Meyers rose to great notoreity in the comedy role as the star of Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" sketch.  He was also the head writer at SNL from 2001-2014.

In his current role, Meyers reaches a big audience as the host of "Late Night with Seth Meyers".  He also had the opportunity to host the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2014 and is a two-time host of ESPN's ESPY Awards.

Meyers has been nominated for 13 Emmy Awards and is a one-time winner.  He began his comedy pursuits while at Northwestern as a member of the school's Mee-Ow Show.
