Kendall College Announces Celebrity Chef Rick Bayless as Commencement Speaker

Later this month, celebrity chef Rick Bayless will be speaking to some graduating college students that hope to enter his field. He will serve as commencement speaker at Kendall College.
Commencement for the school will be held on June 25th at the Chicago Symphony Center beginning at 10 a.m. Kendall College provides degrees in business, culinary arts, early childhood education and hospitality management.
Bayless is slated to share some of his personal stories and words of wisdom with the graduates. It is sure to be the perfect event to usher them into their professional lives.
Bayless oversees operations for seven restaurants, including three in the Chicago area. He is the winner of seven James Beard Foundation Awards and has written nine cookbooks.
The PBS series "Mexico: One Plate at a Time" has delivered Bayless to the masses. He has received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Culinary Host for his performance on the series.
In 2012, Bayless was inducted into the Culinary Hall of Fame. He is also an active philanthropist and his Frontera Scholarship sends a Mexican-American student in the Chicago Public School system to Kendall College each year.
