At the end of last month, Fortune held their Most Powerful Women Next Gen Summit. Business visionaries and other leaders of industry convened on Laguna Niguel, California on November 29-30.
One of the powerful presenters at the conference was ITunes executive Bozoma Saint John. She spoke on day one of the event under the title, "One on One: Badassery."
Saint John was interviewed by Fortune's Leena Rao. Each year, the Most Powerful Women list ranks 50 top female leaders in global America.
Saint John serves as the Head of Global Consumer Marketing for ITunes and Beats Music. Prior to arriving at Apple, she worked as Head of Music and Entertainment Marketing at Pepsi-Cola North America.
Billboard Magazine regularly ranks Saint John among the most powerful women in music. The basis for her breakout career came at the advertising agency Spike DDB and fashion brand Ashley Stewart.
Saint John has also been named to Fast Company's list of the 100 Most Creative People.and AdWeek's Most Exciting Personalities in Advertising. She was originally born in Ghana and emigrated to the U.S. when she was 14.
