Investment Expert Whitney Tilson Addresses Graduates at the Eaglebrook School

At the beginning of the month, investment expert Whitney Tilson gave a very special commencement address.  He spoke to the ninth grade graduates at the Eaglebrook School on June 3rd. 

The speech carried added meaning for Tilson since he is an Eaglebrook alum.  The school is a private boarding institution for boys in the sixth through ninth grades in Deerfield, Massachusetts.  

Tilson stressed the importance of avoiding mistakes.  He also shared with them important qualities to build a successful life. 

Tilson is the founder and managing partner of the hedge fund Kase Capital.  He has shared some of his excellent investment advice in two books.  

In addition, Tilson also writes for Forbes and The Financial Times, among others.  He is the co-founder of the newsletter "Value Investor Insight" and the biannual Value Investing Congress. 

CNBC often leans on Tilson's insight and he is a regular contributor. for the network.  He holds a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Harvard.
