IBC Conference Names Vevo CEO Erik Huggers Keynote Speaker

Vevo is one of the emerging digital platforms that are changing the way we consume media. Company CEO Erik Huggers will speak with more detail on their successes during September's IBC conference.
IBC2016 runs September 8-12 in Amsterdam while an exhibition runs concurrently from the 9-13. The conference is titled, "Transformation in the Digital Era: Leadership, strategy, and creativity in media and entertainment".
Huggers will address attendees September 10th. He will specifically discuss insights into how the internet generation consumes music and music's role in the proliferation of streaming.
Huggers was named CEO of Vevo in April 2015. He has been tasked with leading the innovation efforts for a service that averages over 11 billion views a month.
Prior to joining Vevo, Huggers was a senior vice president at Verizon. He was also president of Intel's media division at a time when he led company efforts to break into the Internet television business with their OnCue platform.
At the BBC, Huggers served as a board member and launched BBC iPlayer, one of the initial subscription-based online video services. He has held senior positions at Microsoft and Endemol Entertainment as well.
