The Jewish Women's Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches is having their annual fundraiser next Thursday. They have invited a speaker who advocates for women's rights across the globe every day.
Founder and president of the Human Trafficking Pro Bono Legal Center, Martina Vandenberg, will speak at the Imagine the Possibilities Luncheon. She will share stories from two decades of fighting against injustice.
The luncheon takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Colony Hotel on Palm Beach Island in Florida. Tickets to attend are $125 and funds raised benefit the JWF on the local, regional and national levels.
Vandenberg started the Human Trafficking Pro Bono Legal Center in 2012. She was able to do so via her relationship with the Open Society Foundations Fellowship Program.
Through the organization, Vandenberg has trained over 2,000 pro bono attorneys on how to deal with human trafficking cases. Before becoming an OSF Fellow, Vandenberg was a partner for Jenner & Block LLP.
