High Point University Names Musician Josh Groban Spring Commencement Speaker

High Point University is bringing in one of the world's most talented performers this spring. They have chosen musician Josh Groban to serve as commencement speaker. 

High Point's graduation ceremony takes place May 5th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Roberts Hall Lawn. Tickets are not required for the ceremony, but it is not open to the public. 

There will be a live stream via High Point's website. Groban should have some impactful words for the Class of 2018. 

Groban has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and his first four albums were certified platinum. He was the best-selling artist of 2006 and his 2007 Christmas album, Noel, was the bestselling album of the year. 

Groban's most recent album, Stages, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. He has also been a successful actor, appearing in an array of television and film projects.

Groban made his Broadway debut in 2016 with Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. He was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Lead Actor in a Musical.
