HGTV Host Paul LaFrance Keynotes Jill of All Trades Event at Conestoga College

Paul LaFrance is one of the most popular home improvement personalities in Canada.  Last week, female high schools students in south central Ontario were excited to hear some inspirational words from someone they look up to in the industry. 

LaFrance was the keynote speaker at the third annual Jill of All Trades event.  The conference is meant to empower women to pursue their interests in skilled trades.

Conestoga College hosts Hill of All Trades and over 200 women attended this year's proceedings.  LaFrance's message was that anyone can learn a skilled trade, but it takes teamwork to truly be successful in the field. 

LaFrance is the founder and CEO of Cutting Edge Construction and Design.  His company has been creating unique, state-of-the-art deck designs for 15 years. 

The success LaFrance has experienced in the deck business has led to several other opportunities.  He is one of the top personalities on HGTV Canada, hosting shows like Custom Built, Decked Out and Disaster Decks. 

LaFrance also served as a judge on season two and three of Canada's Handyman Challenge.  His greatest passion in life, however, is being a father to his four daughters.
