The University of Dayton has announced their list of esteemed guests for their annual Speaker Series.  One of the guests coming to campus is Harvard Law professor Lawrence Lessig

Lessig will speak on September 21st at 7 p.m. in the Kennedy Union Ballroom.  The title of his discussion is, "The Importance of the First Presidential Debate".

It is fitting coming just a week prior to the first debate featuring candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.  Following the speech, Lessig will also participate in a book signing.

Lessig serves Harvard Law School as the Roy L. Furman Professor of Law and Leadership.  He has had multiple stints as a professor at Harvard.

Lessig also founded Stanford University's Center for Internet and Society and was a professor at the University of Chicago.  He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Philosophical Association.

Scientific American has named Lessig one of their Top 50 Visionaries.  He holds a master's degree in philosophy from Cambridge and a JD from Yale University.
