Harvard Government Professor Robert Putnam Speaks at Jaffrey Civic Center

The Jaffrey Civic Center kicked off their 50th anniversary celebration last week. On September 23rd, they brought in one of the top government experts in the country to speak.
Harvard professor Robert Putnam spoke during a reception from 5-7 p.m. There are many artifacts from the Civic Center and photographs that profile its 50 years in the exhibit.
The Center will be showcasing its history until October 20th. Throughout the week, it is open from 10 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. and on Saturdays hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Putnam is the Peter and Isabel Malkin Professor of Public Policy at Harvard University. He serves as a member of both the National Academy of Sciences and the British Academy.
Putnam is also a former president of the American Political Science Association. He is the author of 14 books that have been translated into 20 languages.
Putnam has won numerous awards like the Skytte Prize and the National Humanities Medal. As an expert on government, he has consulted the last three U.S. Presidents and scores of foreign leaders.
