GVK Vice Chairman GV Sanjay Reddy Gives Commencement Address at Alma Mater

Some lucky individuals get to experience the rare thrill of speaking at their alma mater's commencement ceremonies. Over the weekend, GVK Vice Chairman GV Sanjay Reddy got that important opportunity. 

Reddy addressed the graduates at Purdue University on Sunday. He spoke at two ceremonies on the West Lafayette, Indiana campus inside the Elliott Hall of Music. 

There were 1,153 undergraduate degrees handed out. Reddy originally graduated from Purdue in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. 

Today, with Reddy's help, GVK Industries is India's largest private airport operator. They also have interests in several other industries, like energy, real estate and hospitality. 

Reddy founded GVK Biosciences, which is one of the largest contract research groups in Asia. He is the vice chairman of GVK EMRI, which has been a pioneer in the Emergency Management Services business in India. 

Reddy is a member of the Board of Directors for TAJGVK Hotels and Resorts Ltd. In 2007, he was one of 25 Indians chosen as Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum.
