Goodman JFS Names Author Leslie Morgan Steiner KOLOT Luncheon Speaker

Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward has scored a top speaker for their annual KOLOT Break the Silence Luncheon.  This January, domestic violence survivor Leslie Morgan Steiner will speak at the luncheon that is meant to educate those in the Jewish community on domestic abuse. 

The luncheon will be held on January 8th at the Renaissance Hotel in Davie, Florida.  Steiner will share her entire life story and how she overcame domestic violence. 

Tickets are now available and cost $125.  Special VIP admission that includes a meet and greet with Steiner and a copy of her book, "Crazy Love" is $225. 

That memoir written by Steiner chronicled her journey in and out of domestic violence and became a New York Times bestseller in 2009.  She has penned other books dealing with the topic of motherhood. 

Steiner actively writes two columns a week that also tackle the various challenges of motherhood.  From 2006-2008, she was an on-line columnist for the Washington Post dealing with the topic of work/family balance. 

Early in Steiner's writing career, she wrote for Seventeen and various other magazines.  She was also the general manager of Washington Post Magazine for five years.
