Gerber Technology Taps Fashion Consultant Tim Gunn to Speak at September’s ideation2016 Conference

Fashion personality Tim Gunn's keynote speech last year at the Gerber Technology ideation2016 conference was such a success, they had to ask him back again.  He is a guest speaker once again at September's event.

The conference will be held at The Ritz-Carlton on South Beach in Miami, Florida September 28-30.  It is a leading software event for those in the fashion, apparel, accessories and footwear industries. 

Gunn's presentation will be of the fireside chat variety with Gerber Technology CEO Mike Elia.  They will discuss how technology is making it easier for people create high-quality garments.  

Gunn is best known for his role as a co-host on mentor on the Lifetime series "Project Runway".  He has also previously starred on the Bravo show "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" and Lifetime's "Under the Gunn".  

Prior to and concurrent with becoming a television star, Gunn held several high-ranking positions in the fashion industry.  He has been the Fashion Dean for Fifth & Pacific and the chief creative officer at Liz Claiborne Inc.  

From 1982-2007, Gunn was a faculty member at Parsons School of Design and he spent the last seven of those years as the fashion design chair.  He is also a bestselling author who has released four books.
