The Dairy Strong conference brought in a unique speaker last month. Generational expert Lynne Lancaster provided some tips for bridging the generational gap.
The event took place January 17-18 at the Monoca Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin. There were over 700 attendees on hand from farming, business and government.
The future of dairy farming was explored through several panel discussions and other speakers. Some of the other highlight speakers included CNN political analyst Ana Navarro and former Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig.
Lancaster advises organizations through the company, BridgeWorks. She is the founder of the trainer certification program, BridgeBuilder.
Lancaster has presented for companies like American Express, Coca-Cola and Lockheed Martin. She is the author of the bestselling business book, "When Generations Collide: Who They Are. Why They Clash. How to Solve the Generational Puzzle at Work."
Lancaster is a highly-sought commentator who has made appearances on CNN, CNBC and NPR. She previously served as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
