Former Shell President John Hofmeister Speaks at Louisiana Tech Commencement

On May 21st, Citizens for Affordable Energy CEO John Hofmeister will be able to share some lessons learned from a life in business with the graduates of Louisiana Tech University. Hofmeister is the school's spring commencement speaker.
The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center. Class of 2016 members from Louisiana Tech's five academic colleges and the Graduate School will be conferred degrees.
Guest seating is available on a first come, first-served basis. The Thomas Assembly Center will be open 90 minutes prior to the start of graduation.
After a lengthy tenure at Shell, Hofmeister founded Citizens for Affordable Energy to advocate for responsible energy solutions. He was the president of Shell Oil Company from 2005 to 2008.
Hofmeister has extensive executive experience, having had roles as well with AlliedSignal, General Electric and Nortel. He has previously been chairman of the National Urban League and the U.S. Department of Energy's Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Advisory Committee.
Hofmeister currently sits on the boards of the Foreign Policy Association, Gas Technology Institute, Houston Technology Center and Strategic Partners LLC. He lectures at the University of Houston and is a Wrigley Scholar//Executive in Residence at Arizona State University.
