Former Apple Exec Andy Grignon Speaks at Birmingham’s Sloss Tech in July

This July, Birmingham is hosting a brand new tech conference with some major speakers lined up. As part of the Sloss Music & Arts Festival, Sloss Tech debuts on July 15th.
One of the keynote presenters is former influential Apple executive Andy Grignon. There will be up to 750 people in attendance at SlossTech.
The festival hopes to promote technology in the greater Birmingham area. In addition to the speakers scheduled, there will be a series of workshops to give people some hands-on experience with emerging technologies.
While at Apple, Grignon was a key driver as the lead engineer in the creation of the first IPhone. He also wrote Dashboard for MacOS.
From 2002-2007, Grignon was at Apple. He currently serves as a partner and the managing director of the global design firm Siberia.
Grignon originally started his career in the tech world out as an intern in the Advanced Technology Group at Apple. He majored in computer science at the University of Iowa before leaving school as a senior to start at Apple.
