Food Activist Alice Waters Named Keynote Speaker at Benefit Dinner for The Organic Center

Alice Waters has been a champion for organic food for many years. On March 10th, she will continue to speak about the advances in organic food as the keynote speaker at The Organic Center's 13th Annual Benefit Dinner.
The dinner will be held in Anaheim, California at the Marriott Hotel and is in conjunction with the Natural Products Expo West. Individual tickets cost $195 and a VIP sponsor table of ten is $5,550.
Last year, the event raised almost $450,000 for the center. This year, the theme of the dinner is "Good Food. Good Company. Good Science".
Waters just recently was awarded the National Humanities Medal by President Barack Obama. She originally founded the Edible Schoolyard Project in 1995 and continues to fight for better and more affordable school lunches.
In 1971, Waters revolutionized the restaurant business by co-founding the famed farm to table restaurant, Chez Panisse. She still owns the popular eatery and is an author 15 books.
Waters was named Best Chef in America by the James Beard Foundation in 1992. She is a member of the California and New Jersey Halls of Fame.
