Entrepreneur Teresa Meares Speaks at the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center

The Jacksonville Women's Business Center welcomed an area resident who is leading the city's entrepreneurship culture. Teresa Meares spoke this afternoon at a special luncheon.
The sold-out event that lasted from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m at Bella Sera. Tickets were $35.
Meares talked about her career and how she advocates for women in business. It was particularly impactful to hear some someone so involved in the local community.
Meares has a background of nearly two decades in law enforcement. She retired from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office as a police sergeant.
Meares currently serves as the president of DGG Uniform and Work Apparel and the manager of the clothing line, Audibelle. She is the author of the "Think Safe 2 Be Safe" series.
Meares is the chair of the NAWBO Institute for Entrepreneurial Development, vice president of the World Association for Women Entrepreneurs and a member of the advisory council for Enterprising Women Magazine. She serves as the chair of the board of directors for Hubbard House.
