Entrepreneur Steve Blank Gives Commencement Address at NYU Tandon May 23rd

Entrepreneur Steve Blank was a pioneer in Silicon Valley. He will try to bring that expertise to the table when he gives the commencement address on May 23rd at NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
The ceremony will be held in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. Overall, the school will confer 488 bachelor's and 1,213 master's degrees.
In addition to speaking, Blank will receive a Polytechnic Medal. The medal was created to commemorate the values of innovation and opportunity that NYU Tandon is based on.
Blank is the creator of the Lean Startup movement. He worked in or founded eight different high-technology companies before retiring in 1999.
Blank's books "The Four Steps to the Epiphany" and "The Startup Owner's Manual" have become essential guides to building and starting companies. He has taught courses at many of the country's top institutions and is co-launching a new course this year at Stanford University called "Hacking for Defense".
In 2013, Blank was named one of the 30 most influential people in tech by Forbes. He has also been named one of the ten influencers in Silicon Valley by the San Jose Mercury News.
