Engineering Expert Jill Tietjen Speaks at Rotary Club Meeting in Syracuse

Jill Tietjen is known for empowering women, especially in the fields of engineering in science. She was able to impact an even younger generation last Wednesday.
Tietjen spoke to fifth grade girls at State Street School in Skaneateles, New York. She spoke to them about the impact they can make through science and engineering.
Later in the evening, Tietjen was the keynote speaker at a Rotary Club meeting in town at Sherwood Inn. The 6 p.m. event was open to the public and cost $15 to attend.
Tietjen serves as the President and CEO of Technically Speaking Inc. In that role, she nominates women for national awards.
Tietjen co-authored the bestselling book, "Her Story: A Timeline of Women Who Changed America." She is a blogger for the Huffington Post as well.
Tietjen is a member of the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Virginia.
