Education Advocate Donna Cooper Speaks at League of Women Voters Luncheon

Education advocate Donna Cooper recently gave an impassioned speech for Pennsylvania' s children. She was the keynote speaker at the Radnor League of Women Voters luncheon.
The lunch was held at Overbrook Golf Club. Cooper spoke about at length about the recent election outcomes both on the state and national levels.
Cooper also explored how female voters perceived the presidential candidates. In addition to her presentation, the club handed out their yearly Civic Participation Award.
Cooper serves as the Executive Director for Public Citizens for Children and Youth. In her role, she advocates for children in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Before joining PCCY, Cooper was a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. She led their research efforts on early childhood education and public infrastructure.
From 2003-2010, Cooper was the Secretary of Policy and Planning for Pennsylvania. She was vital to the success of the Cover All Kids healthcare program and championed an effort to raise K-12 funding by over $2 billion.
