There is no shortage of religious and political causes that various members of the Robertson family have thrown their weight behind since gaining notoriety on the hit A&E series "Duck Dynasty". At the beginning of last week, one of the series most popular couples made their way to South Carolina to speak at a local church.
Willie and Korie Robertson were at NewSpring Church on March 6th to participate in a Q&A with pastor Perry Noble. They shared their faith and discussed how God impacts their family.
In addition to faith-based initiatives, the Robertsons are huge supporters of adoption. Among their six children, they have adopted two and fostered another.
Willie Robertson is CEO of the Duck Commander business that Duck Dynasty is based around. The show began in 2012 and season eight is set to premiere on June 24th.
The Robertsons met in elementary school, but both went to Harding University. They were jointly named Outstanding Young Alumni by the school in 2014.
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal presented Willie Robertson the first Governor's Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence in 2014. Korie Robertson has become a bestselling author, runs the Robertsons licensing, and presides over several philanthropic efforts.
