CD Baby is moving forward with the second year of its DIY Musician Conference.  They have nearly finalized the speaker list and one of the newest names on the register is noted NPR host Bob Boilen.

Boilen will address attendees at the Chicago event.  It runs September 30th to October 2nd at the Congress Plaza Hotel.

There will be 30 different sessions with speakers plus endless networking opportunities and performances.  Tickets are on sale for only $99 until August 16th.

For 18 years, Boilen directed the wildly popular NPR show "All Things Considered" after originally being placed on the staff for the program in 1988.  In 2000, he started hosting an off-shoot of All Things Considered, "All Songs Considered".

Before arriving at NPR, Boilen worked for Baltimore's Impossible Theater in a variety of positions.  While working as a composer at the theater in 1983, he became one of the first to use audio sampling.

To this day, Boilen composes and performs music.  This past April, he released his first book, "Your Song Changed My Life".
