Michigan's largest conference is bringing one of their most respected entrepreneurs to give the grand keynote speech. Detroit Aircraft Corp founder and CEO Jon Rimanelli will speak at TIECon Midwest next month.
The conference runs October 27-28 at The Henry in Dearborn. Rimanelli will speak specifically about drones and how they can lighten the load on roads.
The overall theme of this year's conference is "Ignite2Disrupt. Connected World. Connected Technologies". 20 start-up companies will also be featured at the event through the "Tie20" event.
In addition to founding Detroit Aircraft Corp, Rimanelli also started Nextronix Inc. and Detroit Air Racing Inc. He has spent 18 years as a contract manufacturer as well.
Rimanelli is a private pilot with over 1,000 flight hours. He started the Michigan Unmanned Aerial Systems Consortium Board of the Directors.
Rimanelli is on the board for the Michigan SATS Lab. He holds a higher degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University.
